The client

Go 2 Maintenance is a family-run property maintenance company covering North London, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. The family behind it have built homes from scratch, built extensions and lofts, and run a sister painting and decorating company.

The business covers both maintenance and cleaning, from roofing, plastering, electrical work and fencing to pressure washing, gutter cleaning and solar panel cleaning, and holds accreditations including NICEIC Approved Contractor, Trust a Trader, IPAF and PASMA.

The challenge

Go 2 Maintenance needed its first website: somewhere customers could see the full range of work the business takes on, see proof of the finished results, and get in touch about the job they need done.

With twelve services split across maintenance and exterior cleaning, the site had to stay easy to navigate rather than become a long list of trades. And because the team would be running it themselves, adding new projects and photos as jobs were finished had to be straightforward for people who, in their own words, aren't techie.

The solution

I designed and built the site around the colours and style the team chose, with their existing logo, and organised the business into two clear menus, Maintenance and Cleaning, so every one of the twelve services is reachable straight from the navigation, with its own page and a route to request a quote.

Finished work is the strongest sales tool for a trades business, so projects get real prominence. Each one has a photo gallery, can be filtered by service, and can show a before-and-after comparison that makes the difference obvious at a glance. Phone, email and WhatsApp sit in the header on every page, and the enquiry form asks which service the customer needs, so each message arrives ready to act on.

Everything is managed in Payload CMS, from pages and services to projects, photos and testimonials, so the team keep the site up to date themselves, with support from me whenever they need it.

Before and after, side by side

Projects can show the job before and after, so customers see exactly what the team delivered. The team add these themselves as work is finished.

So glad we found Roy, consistently accessible from start to finish. Highly knowledgeable, experienced and appreciate particularly his patience! Oh my, and that was needed as we aren’t techie people! Very grateful for his opinions, creative ideas and guidance throughout the whole process of building our website and brand. Would definitely recommend Roy and would use him again.”
